Heart to Heart

Imagine this:

You are sitting down on a bench with lots of homework in front of you. You don't feel like doing your homework at all. You feel down all thanks to the person who bullied you.
 Who do you look for?

Friends?
Family?
Teachers?
Psychiatrists?

Whoever you look for, know that there are always people who want to help you!
We is better than I !
"You sure? It seems that no one wants to help me..."
And you want to pay a psychiatrist to help you?
But why do you need a psychiatrist when there are people who understand you better and can help you for free?

That would really depend on your situation at hand.
"I really dont want to live anymore...I want to just end my misery and die!!"

Wait a second. Can't you see how precious life is?
Do YOU want it to be a waste?
Life does bring back good memories too... :)

Even if you are facing a problem, the problem will remain unsolved even if you leave it. It won't change.

But if you life and want to stand up again, there is a chance and eventually you will conquer it!

Take a look at this video. Nick Vujicic is a great example of someone who can bring himself back up.

How about you?
You CAN!

There are so many things you CAN do, why not do meaningful things and live life to the fullest!

Take a look at this video for inspiration:

Its actually perspective that changes everything. This has to start from YOU!
You can change your destiny :)
You can do many things :)

Did you know that doing meaningful things is so simple by even writing posts?
Saying hello to strangers?

I'll leave you with this:

What can you do differently today?

Life

When you first think of the word 'life', what do you think of?Your parents? Your pet? Yourself?

Let's replace 'your' with 'their'. Their pet? Their parents? Themselves?

Those are possibilities, but really, animals, plants and humans definitely are under this category of "Life".

Here's a true story:

This involves 2 friends, which I will call them A and B in this story, to let their identities remain unknown.

I was walking around in school one day and I saw A holding a baby bird. A told me it needs help. A group of people crowded around the bird and pitied the bird. Some collected sticks and leaves to make it feel homely and someone else managed to get a small piece of cake. Others just looked and walked away. The baby bird was simply, in very bad shape.

A tried to convince his parents to bring the bird home to nurse it back to health, but even after a long while, his parents still didn't allow him to bring it back.

So the job was left to B and myself. I tried to ask my parents if they could provide transport for it to see a veterinarian. My parents was yelling at me on the phone. Simply, no. So after deliberating for a very long time, we decided to ask the staff to help us. I had to leave or else I would be in serious trouble and left B and another friend to got to the staff room.

---
Is it not fair to see the bird in this bad shape? Cruel to leave it? Wasted life?
Thats how I felt. Terrible.

But after pondering over this for a while, here are a few pointers:

  • On a Positive note: Its better than leaving it alone
  • But why did these parents in this story not allow birds?
It has been known birds cause diseases like bird flu and they are worried about diseases. (This is just one of the reasons)
  • What caused the downfall of this?
Many factors. The cost, who is going to help, how long the commitment etc.

"Isn't it better to leave it alone?"
I say ,"Yes and No, but still there is a life at stake here. This brought me to write this post."

Life, is complicated but it gives a meaning to what you are doing. Including right now. It may sound cruel to leave the bird, or even a human, on its own to move on, at times, there is no choice but to do that.

This is when you have to let go of the past and move on. There is no point mourning for it when it is gone, but still, it will leave you stronger, trust me on that one, I went through that process before.

"Experience is how life catches up with us and teaches us to love and forgive each other." -Judy Collins

"Which life is more precious?"

All of them are. Plants, Animals and Humans. Its just that everyone has his/her own perspective to rank them.

Did you notice that all life has a role to play?
Plants to produce food, produce oxygen etc
Animals to provide fertiliser, help in spreading plants
Humans to provide technology advancement, make genetically modified foods

"What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?" - Vincent van Gogh
Thats a really good question. I personally cannot think of an answer for this. But I know that courage adds flavor, which indirectly adds challenges we have to overcome.

After you must be thinking about all this, you must wonder,

"How can we help?"

Big or small, we can help. You could donate what you can, spread awareness about things you really think that need help and the list can go on...

My question to you is this, "What can you do to impact someone today?"

P.S.: Perspectives are also about reflections, though deep, but they have meaning.

Japan, stay strong, there will be light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you all the best :)

A new beginning...

Hello Readers!

As you look around this blog, you wonder....what is perspectives? why this blog?

Perspectives in this case is:
  • a point of view
  • the true understanding of the relative importance of things
The purpose of this is to let you know different points of view of an object, it could be an everyday object, nature (like the background of this blog) or it could be something that exists but cannot be seen. Once in a while, I will mention about things that people face and talk about it with fairness.

Feel free to comment on the posts that I write, but do respect others' way of thinking, after all, perspectives have no correct answer, but many answers :)

Enjoy the blog! :)

Remember, this is just a perspective, there's many more! :)
